Cheap trick... Otter-Pops

My little 2 year old figured this one out herself! Her hands get cold holding an otter-pop so I usually wrap a rag around it to protect her little hands. Today she improved my idea... She got her gloves and came to me saying... "mommy, I get cold popbsicable... brrr brrr...". She rubbed her hands together showing me her gloves. Baby girl, you are so smart! Gloves will make it so much easier for you to hold a cold "popbsicable".

Star Spangled Sandwich Pops

Found this wonderful recipe from FamilyFun. This is a great way to cool down during July's hot summer days.

Ingredients: Mini ice-cream sandwiches, Sprinkles or nonpareils, Popsicle sticks & Colorful cupcake liners.

*Nonpareils are a decorative confection of tiny balls made with sugar and starch, traditionally an opaque white but now available in many colors.*

1. Skewer the mini ice-cream sandwiches with the popsicle sticks.
2. Press the ice cream portions on all sides into a plate of sprinkles or nonpareils. 
3. Place into a colorful cupcake liner for added color.

The cupcake liners are merely for decoration if you are entertaining older children or adults. They do help minimize the mess, but honestly getting a little on yourself is the best way to enjoy it!
